the legacy of The Natural.
He narrowed his eyes and squinted in the rising sun. Another one of the ARS juveniles was on the track. Out of the six juveniles in the barn, 3 have already broken their maidens in the first two weeks of the racing season. The dark bay colt on the turf track was the son of GHF Hall of Famer, The Natural - Ali Alakazam. Charlie hadn't been convinced that Ali was ready to race yet but the colt had still put in a great show, coming in third in his first race.
He ran his hand through his hair and observed the choppy movements of the juvenile. He was improving. Not their best juvenile but will definitely improve over time - like most The Natural offspring. This colt was lanky and will be growing into quite a decent sized stallion. He was a looker and had soft eyes and a true heart.
Melanie felt the eyes of the new trainer on her back and she quickly adjusted her hands and rode tall. Ali was a horse that needed barely any extreme handling. He was like a well oiled machine, he was steady and care free. He will be the type of horse that will probably be very dependable. He wasn't one that stuck out in a string but he was one that ARS will be able to count on to bring in steady income - like Thunderstrike did.
She bit her lip and urged Ali into a steady gallop. This weekend the colt will be racing against other hall of fame offspring in the Legacy Turf Stakes on GHF. Melanie was worried about Ali, she hoped he will be as ready as the other horses in the race because it was very important. The only one in the race that has also previously raced is Manhattan Royalty but that doesn't really mean much when you look at the other two entrants. Especially the Impressario filly, Dare to Impress. Melanie shook her head. There was no use fretting over it, the outcome could be anyone's guess. It was a horse race after all...
